The Ash Wednesday service was a calm, spiritual experience and a wonderful reminder of our faith. The service began with music which created a reflective atmosphere and allowed us to focus on the start of Lent. The prayers made us think about the purpose and challenge of Lent, allowing us to start preparing for the joy of Easter. It was lovely that members of our year group were involved in the service though biblical readings and prayers. By receiving the ashes the College community was united in undertaking a period of spiritual focus, during which we will try to make a positive difference to the world through acts of kindness and generosity.
